Do Jackrabbits Really Smile?

I'm missing my jackrabbit. I'm feeling nostalgic for him and some of the fun times we had. He has the best smile. His whole face changes. He looks serious, tired sometimes, pale. But when he smiles, all that changes. His eyes light up and crinkle at the corners and it looks like he's got this big kid secret he is contemplating sharing. His cheeks split into those lovely dimple things that are more like a crease rather than a divet.

His eye teeth are turned at the most charming angle, a bit like Patricia Arquette. He laughs in a sort of sharp burst, and then makes no sound for a second, and if he's laughing REALLY hard, he has a spaz and runs out of the room or flops around. Sometimes he'll grin even bigger and say "yeeeaaahh!.

He's such a serious person, always full of serious thought and deep drama. When he smiles it's like a day of sunshine in a month of dark and cold rain. It's lovely.

I wonder if anyone is making him smile like that these days?
