Some Meaty Advice

Hey, been a while, I've been sick SORRYSORRY.

Remember the 24 hour film contest? The 6 minute film is up on their website now! Go here:
24 Hour Film Contest 2002 Contenders

It's called "Some Meaty Advice".

It's kinda silly, and it didn't work out editing- and sound-wise because we shot so much footage and we had a pretty involved story. Too much for 6 minutes. They are talking about recutting it into something much longer, since there's so much footage. I think that would be a great idea, didn't I say that before? Oh well, the judges liked our acting, which is compliment enough for me!

Also, this friday night, I will be the new proud owner of a video copy of "Living With the Dead". Here is the video cover:

Don't steal it, you CAN'T have it, and that would be really uncool if you did.

I've got another heart wrenching scene this weekend in class. Shea is determined to make me cut loose and have a hysterical crying fit. It's a scene about a woman who has had 4 miscarriages and was finally pregnant to near full term. She went into labour and at some point the contractions stopped and she got worried. They performed a C-Section on her and then she was out for two days. She woke up then and was allowed to hold her baby boy for an hour, that's all. Turns out years later that her baby died in childbirth, strangled by the umbilical cord, and that another woman who was giving up her son for adoption sold her son to this woman's husband for $10,000. Everyone was in on it, including her doctor, she was the only one who didn't know, and her husband is only admitting it now. AGONY. Hopefully I'll be able to break through some emotional blockages with this one. OYYCH.
