Our City's Pride and Joy

Why does this not surprise me one little wee bit? Tee hee.

There are strange people in this city. Yes, I'm one of them, but there are stranger people than me. Like the bus drivers. It's amazing the range of crazies they hire to drive large amounts of people around. Infrequency was talking about a driver that makes train noises or something. I know him. There's also the guy that says "HELLO THERE" to each and EVERY person that gets on the bus. Granted, he's cheerful etc, but after you've gotten on the bus, you get to listen to him say it 500 more times before you get off again. He also sings.

Then there's the one that grunts at you when you get on and doesn't bother to look at your fare. I could show him my PornoKings video membership card instead of my bus pass and he wouldn't notice.

Then there are the people ON the bus. I am a friendly looking person. I look friendly. I am invariably the one person that every crazy will opt to sit next to if given the chance. Every seat on the bus can be open, and they'll select the one RIGHT next to me and proceed to talk about Uncle Joe "but we can't talk about Uncle Joe. Why not? Because he's dead. What about Mr. Frank? We can't talk about Mr. Frank. Why not? Because he's dead"

Anyway, I thought I'd just mention that. If you come to Vancouver, please please please ride the bus, it's our city's pride and joy, truly.

Sigh
